VIEW EVENT DETAILSJanuary
The Arts Committee is delighted to invite Mr. Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic, award winning multi-disciplinary artist and creative director to kick off 2020. It was an opportunity that we could not pass, so my apologies for the short notice.
Originally from Argentina, Lex grew up in Miami before graduating from the Pratt Institute where he is amongst the Top 40 alumni. His base discipline is calligraphy and have spent time in Japan studying the art, taking it to another level. Calligraphy is “COOL”. You may not have heard his name, but you probably have seen his works that he collaborated with artists as Mr. Children, Kanye West, Rihanna to name a few. Other illustrious names include, Kenzo, LVMH, Cartier, NIKE, Audemars Piguet, DELL, UNIQLO, Coca-Cola, and many more. Aerosyn-Lex’s work has been displayed at, and inducted into the official collection of The White House and The Smithsonian by request of The OBAMA Administration. He has also been named as a fellow at the United States Japan Leadership Program USJLP, a foundation focused on fostering bilateral dialogue between multidisciplinary leaders from both nations.
In this roundtable, Lex will take us through his evolution as an artist and his art form connecting east and west fostering a dialogue between multi-disciplinary leaders and nations. This will include how he collaborates with other artists as performers but also his thoughts on incorporating technology into his works.
