2020 National Chinese Language Conference FAQ
Why did you decide to cancel the conference?
In light of growing concern about travel due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to cancel the National Chinese Language Conference scheduled for May 7–10, 2020. We made this decision with the health and safety of our members, students, attendees, and staff as our top priority.
How do I cancel my registration?
The NCLC team is automatically canceling all registrations.
What is the refund policy for registration fees?
We will be refunding all registrations fees via the initial form of payment. You should receive your refund by April 1. If you have not received your refund by then, please contact email@example.com.
How do I cancel my hotel?
You will be responsible for canceling your reservation and be subject to the hotel’s refund policies.
How do I cancel my flight?
Please reach out to your airline directly to receive a refund for any travel or out-of-pocket expenses. Please visit your airline’s website for flight cancellation policies.
What is the refund policy for any travel expenses I have incurred like airfare?
The NCLC team is not responsible for any travel related or out-of-pocket expenses.
Will you reschedule National Chinese Language Conference?
We don’t have plans to reschedule National Chinese Language Conference. The goals of National Chinese Language Conference are central our work to support students from all backgrounds. We are exploring future opportunities to share the content from scheduled sessions via alternative formats. Check back frequently in the upcoming weeks for updates and other opportunities to engage with the College Board and Asia Society.
Are there any other planned College Board or Asia Society event or conference cancellations?
As we monitor the spread of the coronavirus and receive further guidance from public health organizations, we will provide timely updates should new developments affect any of our other upcoming conferences. Our focus is on the health and safety of our members, students, attendees, and staff.
Can I transfer my registration to another College Board or Asia Society event?
Unfortunately, our registration system doesn’t allow for transfer of registrations between events. To attend another College Board event, you must register for that event separately.
