Art for Breakfast have invited many painters to this forum. This March, we bring to you a sculptor, Takayuki Daikoku. Born in Shiga prefecture, after graduating from Osaka University of Arts, Mr. Daikoku lived and worked in Berlin and Brandenburg Germany for over six years. When talking about his works he mentions, “I represent the harmonious beauty that occurs between the juxtaposition of conflicting meanings.” He utilizes multiple materials from wood, washi paper, persimmon juice, mortar, metals, and other materials to explore forms and structures that can be conflicting but harmonious.
At Art for Breakfast, he will share with us his journey in Japan and Germany and how the experiences and challenges have influenced his works. His presentation titled, “COSMOS (Order and harmony in the system)” is a representation of his thoughts that diversity in any forms creates harmony and its relationships create beauty.

There is an in-person guest fee of 5,000 yen. Online participation is free.
