Asia Society Japan is honored to welcome His Excellency Mr. Gilad Cohen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Ambassadors Circle. His presentation is titled, “Israel – Japan Relations in Times of Change”.
2022 marked the 70th anniversary since Israel and Japan established their diplomatic ties in 1952. With Israel being the first Middle Eastern country to recognize Japan, the two countries have developed and strengthened their ties over the course of 70 years.
However, do we really know Israel, this dynamic country that on an annual basis launches over 1,000 startup companies pushing innovation further on the global stage? Israel is known to be the innovation leader in cyber, AI, life science, food tech, the list goes on. But did you know that technology or everyday items we use was developed in Israel as USBs, PillCam, or cherry tomato! With the world evolving and entering a new post-pandemic space, what are the new technologies, innovations, and opportunities? Where can the two countries collaborate?
Please join us to learn and engage with Ambassador Cohen on developments and relationships between Israel and Japan in times of change.
