Vernissage: Yeonsu Ju

In collaboration with our long-term partner HdM Gallery, this coming vernissage invites the young and brilliant London-based Korean artist Yeonsu Ju. Currently taking her final year of MFA in painting at Slade School of Fine Art of University of City of London, Yeonsu’s painting express her profound emotion through dinner scenes by blending fleeting colors with agile gestures. Inspired by “Gijesa”, a spiritual ritual practiced by Koreans to mourn for the deceased, Yeonsu sees her “painting as an imaginary space to meet lost loves, and the process of painting is a ritual ceremony …” for her.
