Join us for the world premiere of a unique, cross-cultural production telling the classic epic of the Ramayana through music and dance traditions of the South and Southeast Asian cultures that celebrate the epic poem and its themes. Conceived and choreographed by Rathna Kumar, the production features performances by Anjali Dance Company, Gamelan of the New Moon, Naga Srinidhi Kuruvada on percussion and Abhishek Balakrishnan on violin, Mey Lee’s Indonesian Dance Ensemble, and SaLaRu Sri Lankan Dance Academy.

Transcending Borders: The Ramayana Project is a Samskriti production, made possible by grants from the Texas Commission on the Arts, the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, and Dance Source Houston.
