Room In Your Heart: A Folktale From BhutanVIEW EVENT DETAILS
Asia Society India Centre and Kitab Khana present Room In Your Heart: A Folktale From Bhutan by Kunzang Cho. Join us for a reading by Sangeeta Choksi.
Bring your family for a fanciful afternoon of travel through Asia through the gift of storytelling. The folktales of Bhutan are full of mischief, wisdom, kindness, magic, spirits, animals, and village folk. “Neypo shong gna?” asks a wandering monk to the little old lady who lives on the hill, "Is there room for me?" The question is repeated again and again as more and more visitors drop by. The kind lady welcomes them in, one by one. And the story ends with the teaching "There will always be room in your home, as long as there is room in your heart.”
There will be an interactive activity following the reading.
