VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin us for a private breakfast roundtable with the Honourable Gladys Berejiklian, MP, Premier of New South Wales (NSW), where she will discuss numerous avenues for investment as well as the potential for collaboration between India and NSW - especially across the areas of infrastructure, urban transport, development, defense and aerospace technologies.
Under Premier Berejiklian’s direction, New South Wales (NSW) has embarked on the largest infrastructure program in Australia with an investment of A$ 80 billion in economic infrastructure over the next four years. With a net annual value of total goods and services produced larger than that of many national economies in the Asia-Pacific, NSW is set to become a highly attractive investment destination for overseas businesses.
This programme is part of Asia Society India Centre's BASIC (Breakfast at Asia Society India Centre) series, which brings eminent speakers from the fields of Asian business, arts, culture and policy to Asia Society Members and Patrons, and provides a senior level platform for discussion on issues of current interest affecting Asia and the world.

Prior to her current role, she previously served as Treasurer and Minister for Transport, during which time she delivered two record budget surpluses, reduced net debt to zero, oversaw the creation of a record public transport infrastructure pipeline and introduced electronic public transport ticketing. She was first elected to the NSW Parliament in 2003. Prior to entering Parliament, she worked as a General Manager for one of Australia’s largest financial institutions.
