On February 8, 2018, Asia Society India Centre and Asia Society Museum, New York, presented the second Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India, honoring Benitha Perciyal and Sun Xun with the Asia Arts Future Award, and Kochi Biennale Foundation (represented by Bose Krishnamachari and Riyas Komu) and Arpita Singh with the Asia Arts Vanguard Award. The evening began with a performance by singer and composer Vidya Shah, who sang songs from the period when India’s Progressive Artists Group was active. More than 180 artists, art appreciators, collectors, gallerists, and curators gathered to celebrate the occasion. Among the guests were Canadian High Commissioner Harinder Sidhu, artists Reena and Jitish Kallat, and Member of Parliament Uma Gajapati Raju.

In addition to the festive evening, Asia Society India Centre presented a work by teamLab, the 2017 Asia Arts Future Award recipient, at the 2018 India Art Fair. This marks the first presentation in India of a work by the art collective of 450 engineers and artists. Consisting of four synchronized TV screens, Fleeting Flower Series (2017) mesmerized visitors of all ages and nationalities with its cycle of pixelated animals gently breaking into flower petals and then recombining into animals.
