The inaugural Asia Arts Awards India took place on February 1, 2017, at the Taj Mansingh Hotel in New Delhi. The event brought together major art collectors, artists, gallerists, and dignitaries from around the world to celebrate three Asia Arts Game Changers: Abir Karmakar, Krishen Khanna, and teamLab. Also in attendance were leaders from the political, business, and diplomatic communities. The 2017 Asia Arts Awards India was co-organized by Asia Society Museum, New York, and Asia Society India Centre.
