India, Japan and the Global South
A Public Discussion on Indo-Japanese Collaboration
As the combined effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine sharpen the challenges facing developing nations, India and Japan have become unlikely partners in addressing the concerns of the Global South. This panel discussion explored the possible ways in which India, as the Chair of this year’s G-20 summit, and Japan as the host for the annual G-7 summit in Hiroshima this year, collaborate in mitigating the expansive threats facing the Global South. The conversation was chaired by Amb. Deepa Wadhwa and featured Amb. Mohan Kumar and Dr. Sanjaya Baru.
