Asia Society Opening Night Celebration Dinner of The Times Litfest
MUMBAI, December 4, 2015 - Asia Society India Centre was delighted to host the Opening Night Celebration Dinner of The Times Litfest. The Times Litfest now in its fifth year, is Mumbai’s largest literary festival, bringing together some of the most dynamic and distinguished names from the literary world.
The Asia Society which has partnered with the Litfest since its inception was thrilled to host the fifth edition of the Opening Night Celebration Dinner, this dinner also serves as a fundraiser for the India Centre. Mumbai’s finest personalities across business, arts, government and culture were in attendance at the programme. Thomas Piketty, William Dalrymple, Anuja Chauhan, Daljit Nagra, Girish Shahane, Manu Joseph, Nisid Hajari, and Raghu Karnad were among the authors in attendance.
It was a lovely evening with a heartening talk by Anshu Gupta, Founder, Goonj, a playful exchange between Bachi Karkaria, Festival Director, Times Lit Festival and Vikram Seth, Author and of course, drinks, discussions and exchanges with the prominent speakers of the Carnival from across the world. Radhika Vaz our host for the evening was a roaring delight, and kept many of our attendees laughing.
Our guest list included many corporate members and supporters as well as a select list of Mumbai’s finest personalities.
