The 8th Asia Roundtable: Sino-Russian Summit
Implications for India
Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow during March 2023 is widely acknowledged as an inflexion point in the evolution of international politics since the end of the Cold War. Yet, there are differing interpretations of its outcomes and their significance for major power relations. India's own geopolitics have always been sensitive to the shifting dynamic between Russia, China and the United States (and more broadly the West). This edition of the Asia Roundtable sought to explore in depth the implications—both immediate and long-term—of the Sino-Russian entente for India. The discussion was between Amb. Ashok Kantha and Amb. Pankaj Saran, moderated by Shyam Saran.
