Robert B Zoellick - President, The World Bank Group

Robert B. Zoellick was appointed the 11th President of the World Bank Group, which works with 187 member countries, in 2007. Prior to joining the Bank, he served as Vice Chairman, International of the Goldman Sachs Group, Managing Director, and Chairman of Goldman Sachs' Board of International Advisors from 2006-07.

In 2005-06, Mr. Zoellick served as the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. State Department. He was the Department's Chief Operating Officer and policy alternate for the Secretary of State, in addition to having lead policy responsibility in a number of areas.

Mr. Zoellick will discuss global economic developments and prospects, the changing economic landscape in Asia, the implications for Australia, and the role of the World Bank Group.
