“Learn to Fly” A Short Film by Asia 21 Fellow, NITIN DAS
Asia 21 Fellow Nitin Das (Asia 21 Fellow, 2009) launched a new short film entitled, Learn to Fly. This film has been shot in Harike Wetland, the largest wetland in Northern India. It serves as a winter home to many species of migratory birds, a few of which are globally endangered species. Because of it's rich biodiversity, Harike is a designated Ramsar site. One of the rare locations on Earth that are recognized as nature's treasures. Enchanted lands that need to be preserved and protected.

Nitin Das runs an independent film production house that works with communities to train them in acting and makes short fiction films. He is an alumnus of one of India’s top B-schools, and his last assignment was with India’s larest news magazine as a Brand Manager. He has done a filmmaking course in New York and has an interesting repertoire of award winning films. He has also won a special award by the British Council for creative entrepreneurship in the social sector.
