National Chinese Language Conference
Important Updates:
After nearly two decades of dedicated service to advancing Chinese language teaching and learning in the U.S., Asia Society’s Education team is exploring ways to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration with educators of additional Asian languages and cultures, an exciting new direction for us. As part of this strategic transition, we will not be holding a 2025 NCLC.
As Asia Society expands our efforts toward broader Asian languages and cultural learning, we celebrate the successes of the Chinese language program and those who have supported it and grown along with it. We remain deeply committed to enhancing learning about Chinese language and culture, as we endeavor to advance learning about Asian languages and cultures more broadly.
We’ll be sharing more details as they become available. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to staying connected in this new chapter.
The National Chinese Language Conference (NCLC) provides a high–profile platform for sharing new ideas and best practices in the fields of Chinese language teaching and learning, Chinese arts and culture, and international education exchange. The conference focuses on:
- building and sustaining quality Chinese programs at all levels of K–12 and higher education;
- cutting-edge approaches to teaching that incorporate culture, technology and collaborations; and
- best practices in the classroom leading to high levels of language proficiency and cultural competency.
