Visitor Guidelines
The Asia Society museum is committed to providing a welcoming experience for all.
Before Your Visit
- Masks are not required to visit, but are available at the front desk for visitors. You can view our Health and Safety Guidelines here.
- Visitors are welcome to bring their service animals. No pets or animals are allowed into the building with the exception of service animals.
- Coat check is available at the front desk. Before arriving, if you have multiple bags, please check in with the box office ([email protected]) to confirm if we have storage space. Please store backpacks with the coat check.
- Parking for bikes is available in the area surrounding the Museum. Roller skates, bikes, and skateboards are not allowed in the building.
During Your Visit
- All visitors agree to abide by our code of conduct.
- Photography, without flash, is encouraged in the building's public spaces (in AsiaStore with staff approval) and in the museum galleries, unless stated otherwise by an Asia Society representative or indicated by the following symbol.
- Help keep our artwork safe – please do not touch the artwork except where noted. Food, bottled water, or other beverages should be sealed and in a bag while in the galleries.
- All visitors to the building must pass through a security check.
- Asia Society is a smoke-free environment.
- Sketching in pencil is permitted in all galleries of Asia Society. Pencils are available at the ticketing desk. The use of ballpoint pens, ink, markers, fountain pens, or watercolors is not permitted at any time. Crayon, pastel, and charcoal are permitted only on Museum-supervised tours that specifically authorize their use. While sketching, please do not hinder visitor traffic flow in the galleries. During periods of high attendance, the Museum reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments to this sketching policy.
- Photos and videos taken in the Asia Society building and at events may be used for our marketing purposes. Please inquire at our front desk with any questions.
- Please note that the building may be open for public events while the museum is closed.

After Your Visit
- Your admission is valid for the entire day, and guest are welcome to continue their visit to the galleries.
