Prior to founding Key Strategies, she founded the Asia Business Council and served as its Executive Director from its inception in 1997 to 2007.
The Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society or CAPS was established in 2013 in order to provide systematic, rigorous and evidence-based research into philanthropic practices and policies in Asia. Through research and consulting, CAPS seeks to identify, document and promulgate best practices, policies and strategies that can contribute to positive change in the social investment sector across Asia.
Ruth will be presenting the work of CAPS and will introduce to us the “Doing Good Index” which maps the environment for philanthropic giving across Asia by examining the fiscal, cultural and social incentives to donate; the regulatory environment that can facilitate or hinder investment; and the factors that affect the establishment and operations of social delivery organizations.
