An amateur photographer and two of his friends comment on some pictures taken all over the world.
Composed entirely of still photographs shot by the director, Chris Marker, Si j’avais quatre dromadaires (If I Had Four Camels) in which an amateur photographer (Marker incognito) and his two friends muse in voice-over at the portfolio of stills the globetrotting lensman has brought back from his travel in 26 countries.
Music composed by Lalan, is one of the three films that she worked with the French New Wave director in the 60s and 70s.
Lalan, who is known by the world for her abstract painting and integrate art, showed her musical gift at a very young age. Thanks to her family's support, Lalan had the opportunity to cultivate her talents. After moving to Paris, Lalan studied music composition at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. Later, she studies electronic music from the composer Edgard Varèse. As a result, this musical experience led to her realization of her genuine passion to express her inner world of artistry.
Si j’avais quatre dromadaires (1966) is one of the few musical works that the audience to explore Lalan’s music talent and creation.
