VIEW EVENT DETAILSThe "Asian Families" Series An Evening Presentation by RICHARD EU, Group Chief Executive Officer, Eu Yan Sang International Limited with Herbal Dinner created by JUSTIN QUEK, Award-winning Chef Eu Yan Sang has come a long way since its humble beginnings offering traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) remedies to tin mine coolies in Malaysia 130 years ago. Today, it is a household name across Asia and a leading healthcare company of consumer products and services based on traditional Chinese medicine. Representing the company's fourth generation, Richard Eu has completely modernized the company, from adopting a scientific approach to quality control, developing an extensive distribution network to new packaging and marketing for its products. Currently, the group, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange, has more than 150 shops in the region and offers over 300 products under the Eu Yan Sang brand name and over 1,000 different types of Chinese herbs and other medicinal products. Richard Eu is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Eu Yan Sang, which was founded in 1879 by his great grandfather. He graduated with a law degree from the University of London and worked as a merchant banker, stockbroker and venture capital consultant before joining the family business in 1989. He successfully built the Eu Yan Sang TCM business to where it stands today, as one of the leaders in this field in Asia. Aside from his business interests, Richard is closely involved in non-profit and community organizations. This special event will be held at the exclusive Island Club, with a menu created for the evening by award-winning chef Justin Quek, who has paired Chinese herbs with his western culinary skills. Justin is the creative force behind The Mira Hong Kong's signature restaurant, WHISK. The world-renowned Singaporean chef was voted 'Best Chef of the Year' at the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence. Please note: limited seating.
