The Hong Kong Holocaust and Tolerance Centre and Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK) are honored to host Peter Gaspar, to share his incredible story of enduring and overcoming the horrors of the Holocaust, in conversation with ASHK Chairman, Ronnie C. Chan.
Born in Czechoslovakia, Peter Gaspar's life was changed when he and his parents were forced into hiding to avoid deportation. When he and his mother were separated from his father, they spent time in Theresienstadt Camp where they endured unimaginable suffering before their eventual liberation by the Russians. Most of Peter’s extended family perished in the Holocaust. Peter strongly believes that educating young people is the key to stopping antisemitism and promoting tolerance.
