Reconstructing the Music of Chinese Women
HONG KONG, 2nd September, 2015 - Researching and conceptualizing a new way of presenting and continuing the tradition of an ancient syllabic script dated back to 13th century Hunan, China, developed in secrecy, by and for women, Tan Dun with the help of Elizabeth Hainen and Ken Smith presented a series of work with videos, solo harp and orchestra performances.
