India Threatens China In Becoming the World's Fastest Growing Economy?
HONG KONG, September 2, 2014 — Dr. Anil K Gupta, the Michael Dingman Chair in Strategy, Globalization and Entrepreneurship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, The University of Maryland at College Park, made a speech at Asia Society Hong Kong Center and followed by a discussion with Mr. Alan Rosling, an experienced entrepreneur leading Indian companies on internationalization. The presentation and dialogue centered on the China-India economic relations and company strategies of market exploration from a regional to global vision.
Dr. Gupta, author of the book The Silk Road Rediscovered, believes that five years from now India will become the fastest-growing, largest economy in the world which matters much to Chinese companies. Regarding how to encourage Chinese investment to India, Dr. Gupta said that the starting point of driving forward bilateral business partnership between China and India is to create China-focused industrial cluster.
