Program Management Intern
Asia Society Philippines aims to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding, and bridge differences across the Philippines, Asia, and the United States. As part of a global network of 14 Asia Society centers in Asia and the West, we develop cross-sector programs that bring people together as we navigate shared futures for Asia and the world across policy, arts and culture, education, sustainability, business, and technology.
CONTEXT AND PURPOSE:
Asia Society Philippines is looking to launch new program initiatives as part of its ongoing efforts to position itself as an ASEAN-focused center with a development-oriented trajectory. We are searching for a Program Management Intern to help develop and execute the organization's programming activities.
As a Program Management Intern, you will work closely with the Program Officer to assist in the development and execution of strategic programming initiatives. This role offers a unique chance to gain practical experience in program development, partner engagement, press release composition, and project support. The ideal candidate is a proactive and creative individual passionate about effective communication.
DEPARTMENT: Programming
REPORTS TO: Program Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programs Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of programs, both virtual and in-person.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on relevant topics related to the organization's current and upcoming programs.
- Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging content for various channels, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, and internal communications.
- Meeting Support: Assist in scheduling meetings, sending calendar invites, taking minutes, and creating meeting summaries.
- Social Media Management: Support the management of the organization's social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and staying informed about recent trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter/Facebook/Instagram) and a demonstrated ability to create engaging content
- Basic understanding of public relations principles and media relations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop/Canva) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Administrative and Center Operations Intern

As an Administrative and Center Operations Intern, you will work closely with our Admin and Center Operations Officer to assist in the day-to-day administrative and program-related tasks. This role offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in administrative management and project support. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual passionate about effective communication.
DEPARTMENT: Administrative, Programming
REPORTS TO: Admin and Finance Officer, Program Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programs Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of company events, both virtual and in-person.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative tasks such as maintaining databases, organizing files, and tracking metrics.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Updating and maintaining databases and records, and organizing and filing documents, both digitally and physically.
- Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation and retrieval of necessary documents.
- Office Support: Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree in Management, Business Adminstration, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop/Canva) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

PROCESS:
- Publication of Job vacancy: After the job description is published to the Asia Society Philippines website and shared on the company’s social channels, interested applicants must submit the complete application requirements within a two-week time frame.
- Screening and shortlisting of candidates: Applications received after the posting will be thoroughly reviewed and assessed by the hiring personnel, with the comprehensive evaluation focusing on the candidates' alignment with the Foundation's objectives, considering education, work experience, technical skills, and other relevant criteria.
- Interview and Acceptance Process: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview. After the interview and deliberation of the team, the selected applicant will receive a letter of acceptance to the internship program, along with the internship agreement to be signed by the intern via e-mail. The target start date of the internship program is October 2024.
