2021 Asia Game Changer Awards Highlights
October 28, 2021 — Asia Society's Asia Game Changer Awards recognize extraordinary individuals and groups from whose actions have profoundly strengthened the bonds between Asia and the world. The 2021 Game Changer awards paid special tribute to achievements by Asian Americans. Honorees included Angela Warnick Buchdahl, the first Asian American rabbi from New York's Central Synagogue; Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Founder Dr. Morris Chang, acclaimed virologist Dr. David Ho, Khan Academy Founder and education pioneer Sal Khan, Olympic Gold medalist Sunisa Lee, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, and Major League Baseball executive Kim Ng. Asia Society also paid tribute to Afghan journalist Yaldi Ali and Afghan artist and Asia 21 Young Leader Omaid Sharifi, the first-ever recipient of the Sheeran Prize.
