Emily Wood, Global Engagement Manager, Austrade

As a Global Engagement Manager at Austrade, Emily advises businesses from a range of sectors including horticulture, meat, beverage, and packaged food along their export journey. During her time with Austrade Emily has also worked in compliance and exports analysis as part of the International Freight Assistance Mechanism as well as supporting Foreign Direct Investment into the Ag & Food sector.

Emily is passionate about Australian business and is committed to helping them thrive and contribute to a resilient Australian economy by untapping opportunities in Asia and beyond.

Isabelle Meere, Global Engagement Manager, Austrade

Isabelle is a Global Engagement Manager at Austrade, supporting Australian businesses to grow and diversify their exports. At Austrade she works with clients across agriculture sectors including horticulture, wine and grains, and in previous roles has worked to support the international business development of clients in the finance, superannuation, airline and sports industries. With a particular interest in Southeast Asia, Isabelle is optimistic that Australian businesses can succeed in many global markets and is delighted to be part of the effort to grow and diversify Australia’s exports.

Fangyuan Huo, Associate, Asia Society Australia

Fangyuan Huo joined Asia Society Australia in February 2021. She is a recent masters graduate having completed a Master of International Relations at Australian National University. She has a strong interest in strategic relations in the Asia-Pacific region in the context of the US-China competition.

She is a native Mandarin speaker and has attained a diverse range of cross-cultural experiences and developed multilingual capabilities through undertaking prior study in South Korea and Japan.

Gen A is Asia Society Australia’s young leaders network. It is a learning and leadership development platform for early career professionals (under 35) from our member and partner organisations. Gen A activities are content-driven and designed to enrich participants understanding of Asia and Australia’s place in the region.
