Key Points on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

CDT and Relevant Companies should: 

  • Prevent adverse environmental impacts. 
  • Implement an environmental impact assessment (EIA) system for electric power construction projects. 
  • Formulate regulations on engineering construction safety, occupational health, and environmental management.
    • Coordinate efforts and solve major issues in these areas.
  • Ensure a supervision unit establishes a safety supervision, assessment, and operation system.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections.
  • Enact "greening" measures in offices and areas surrounding project sites to improve the environment.
    • Restore the environment if damage occurs during construction.
