Director, Charmaghz

Ahmad Siyam Barakati is the director of Charmaghz, a Kabul-based nonprofit organization that runs the biggest chain of mobile libraries for children in Afghanistan and provides educational services to more than 2,500 children daily. At Charmaghz, Ahmad draws on years of experience managing educational projects in Afghanistan to lead their efforts to provide exceptional educational services to the children who visit the libraries. In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Ahmad was honored as a prominent figure on the esteemed "30 under 30 Literacy Leaders" list by the International Literacy Association in 2023. He holds a bachelor's degree in Medicine. He is certified as a global Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
