Why should my company submit a nomination?

The awards are an opportunity to be recognized in person and online as a leader in attracting, developing and retaining AAPI employees. Companies who make it into the finalist round, as well as the winner, will also receive a digital badge from Asia Society to use on their website materials. Press, social media, and other recognition channels will also be present during and after the awards.

How can my company participate?

Your company can take part by submitting nominations for the company and/or its employees through the nomination form.

You can also take advantage of the many benefits afforded to sponsors of Global Talent programming.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost to submit a nomination.

Who participates?

Fortune 500 and other large companies participate in the awards process. Any employees that self-identify as Asian, Asian American, or an Ally can participate in the survey. The awards will only be based on data from the company’s Asian American employees. 

What's the difference between a "leader" and a "rising star"? 

A leader is an individual who has shown concrete examples of elevating the AAPI community in their workplace, and being a key mentor and sponsor to junior employees. A rising star is a high achieving individua in their company, in a junior to mid-level role, who is actively involved in their ERG, and a rising leader in the AAPI community.

How are the awardees selected?

Nominees will be reviewed by an independent judging panel made up of respected diversity, equity, and inclusion experts with no direct connection to the nominees or sponsor companies. They will review the essay prompt for each nominee and decide on five finalists for each award. 

What are some examples of companies that have won in the past? 

Winners in the past have been both national as well as local organizations of all sizes. 

When and how will the results be announced?

The 2024 winners will be announced at Asia Society in New York City on May 15, 2023.
