NEW YORK, March 21, 2019 — Inspired by the news headline "Diane Tran, Honor Student at Texas High School, Jailed for Missing School" Bound is a new chamber opera from acclaimed composer Huang Ruo. At this special preview musical showcase and discussion, Huang appeared in conversation with librettist Bao-Long Chu. Afterwards, soprano Fang Tao Jiang and mezzo Guang Yang performed selections from the opera, accompanied by pianist Felix Jarrar. (1 hr., 4 min.)
