NEW YORK, May 11, 2025 — On the occasion of the North American premiere of his latest film, Sparrow on the Sea (2024), at Asia Society, Shanghai-based Chinese artist Yang Fudong joins Kelly Ma, curator of Learning and Outreach at the Asia Society Museum, in a conversation. Mr. Yang discusses his earlier work in the Asia Society Collection, Seven Intellectuals in a Bamboo Forest (2003–2007), along with this latest film, and what the twenty years between the two works mean to him.
