NEW YORK, October 10, 2024 — The Last Girl Awards, presented in partnership with Apne Aap, honors artists, activists, and leaders who work to build a better world by standing up for The Last Girl — for women and children made vulnerable to trafficking and violence because of the intersecting inequalities of their lives. Rachel Cooper, director of Performing Arts, Cultural Programs, and Culture as Diplomacy at Asia Society, and Ruchira Gupta, founder of Apne Aap, deliver introductory and welcome remarks.
