NEW YORK, May 3, 2025 — At Asia Society’s Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) 2025, music industry experts honors Ustaad Naseeruddin Saami’s role in preserving the Delhi Gharana, and explores how music, literature, and culture intersect. Speakers include Saami’s sons and members of Saami Brothers Qawwal Ustaad Rauf and Ustaad Urooj Saami, MTV World founder Nusrat Durrani, and singer a songwriter Zebunnisa Bangash. Prof. Nermeen Arastu, law professor at City University of New York and student of Ustaad Rauf Saami and director of the Saami Family’s Healing Khayal Brooklyn Residency, moderates the conversation.
