Part 1 of We Do Not Dream Alone, the inaugural Asia Society Triennial, opened today! We were delighted to receive this message of encouragement from Gonzalo Casals, New York City's Commissioner of Cultural Affairs. We especially appreciate Commissioner Casals emphasizing the Triennial's mission of highlighting urgent issues including anti-Asian racism, gender roles and colonial histories, and how this serves as a testament to the restorative power of art.
