Audio Guide Stop #10: Song-Ming Ang
Song-Ming Ang’s sound-based works demonstrate the multifaceted ways in which we engage with music on personal and communal levels. Experimenting with a wide range of mediums and processes, Ang’s practice often manifests the labor and craftsmanship of music and art production. For the Triennial, he created a site-specific installation titled True Stories, presenting abstract images on twelve music stands. Accompanying the installation is a multiphonic soundtrack, which generates a dreamlike ambiance. Taken together, this assemblage of audio and visual elements alludes to the fragmented nature of contemporary society.
