Spotlight Asia Lights Up the Night
HOUSTON, April 4, 2014 — Asia Society Texas Center, in collaboration with Zulu Creative and event chairs Janae and Kenneth Tsai, hosted the third annual Spotlight Asia: Cocktails and Cultural Fusions. Approximately 700 of Houston's most energetic and savvy patrons came out to celebrate a night of exotic and sultry beats and culinary delights. Presented by American First National Bank, the lantern-themed event featured “Bollywood Barbie” DJ Kalkutta, back by popular demand. Also entertaining the crowd was Vietnamese-American Houston-based Baohaus.
Attendees were able to enjoy unlimited cocktails and tasty treats from sponsors Glen Gondo & Sushic, Boheme Cafe & Wine Bar, Monica Pope’s Sparrow Bar + Cookshop, Little Soya, and Uchi. Sparkling wines curated by 13 celsius were available as well. Texas Hookah Lounge was set up in the Jasmine Garden, while a FlashBox photo booth allowed guests to take commemorative photos inside.
Nat and Leela Krishnamurthy were the winners of a raffle for two Business/BusinessFirst round trip airfare tickets from Houston to Taipei, courtesy of United Airlines.
