In Second Homegrown Houston, Street to Kitchen's Chef G and Graham Painter Come With Tasty Challenge for Local Chefs
HOUSTON, July 31, 2024 — Homegrown Houston returned for its second year to celebrate the diversity and ingenuity of the Houston food scene at Asia Society Texas. Hosted by Chef G and Graham Painter of Street to Kitchen, the event kicked off at the heels of the previous evening's storm, as chefs came together to offer guests dishes from seven countries across Asia.
Taking up Chef G's challenge to cook "All Asian, No Fusion," chefs presented traditional classics from Asian cuisines with authentically sourced ingredients. The hosts from Street to Kitchen led by representing Thailand with Hor Mo Mahi and Hor Mok Hed.
