Screen Asia Summer Film Series

Asia Society Texas Center kicks off its Screen Asia summer film series with an exciting lineup of beloved cult classics and exciting Disney animations! Several of the screenings will include fun activities related to the films.

The film broke Hong Kong box office records and is also notable for the appearance of martial arts icon Chuck Norris, who plays an American antagonist to Lee’s character. |

Mulan and Dragon Art Project Based on the legendary female warrior Hua Mulan, this Disney adaptation tells the story of a young maiden who takes her father’s place in battle and becomes one of China’s greatest heroines. Following the screening, visitors will create dragons inspired by the character of Mushu from the film. |

Big Hero 6 and Robot Project This Oscar-winning feature tells the story of a group of unlikely superheroes led by a child genius and his inflatable robot companion. Following the film, visitors will create robots inspired by the character of Baymax. |

Rush Hour Global icon Jackie Chan stars as Detective Inspector Lee, who is tracking down a Chinese crime syndicate in Los Angeles after Hong Kong’s transfer from British rule.
