National Geographic Photographer Shares Passion For Wildlife
HOUSTON, February 8, 2015— National Geographic photographer and conservation proponent Joel Sartore addressed a sold-out crowd at the Texas Center on February 8. Sartore offered an engaging glimpse into his travels around Asia and the world to document animal species as part of his ongoing PhotoArk project. He implored that with no action, an estimated 50% of the planet’s species will be lost by the year 2100, which would have a grave impact. “If frogs go extinct,” he shared, “you’ll notice.” Joel’s talk marked the Texas Center’s third annual Conservation Forum, presented in partnership with Houston Zoo.
