VIEW EVENT DETAILSPresented in partnership with the Jung Center's Mind Body Spirit Institute
Schedule
Sunday, January 7, 2024
2 p.m. Meditation Class
In partnership with the Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute, Asia Society Texas is pleased to kick off a series of wellness events with an afternoon of meditation in our gallery, in honor of the end of the Tsherin Sherpa: Spirits exhibition. Like many aspects of life, Himalayan artist Tsherin Sherpa’s Spirits series carries stories of loss, struggle, and empowerment. Meditation has also been a part of life in the Himalayan region for thousands of years.
Start the new year in deep meditation, guided by Alejandro Chaoul who has trained in Himalayan monasteries and in the West on Tibetan mind-body-spirit practices. Utilizing simple Tibetan yoga movement and sound, Chaoul will guide participants to find calmness in these difficult times, utilizing aspects of Tsherin Sherpa: Spirits as support.
