VIEW EVENT DETAILSIn partnership with WorldFest Houston, Asia Society Texas Center hosts leaders from Hollywood and the Chinese film industry. The summit will focus on themes such as U.S-China film co-production, large intellectual property, digitalization, virtual reality, trans-Pacific real estate investment, financing, and immigration. The forum will provide a great opportunity to engage in deep conversations with leaders from both Chinese and American film industries. Speakers include individuals from the following companies: Nova Film; Datang Brilliant Media Corp; Excellent Entertainment Data Technology Co., Ltd; China Hearing International Holding Limited; and Huahuang Film (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

About WorldFest Houston
WorldFest was founded over 50 years ago as an International Film Society in August 1961. WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive international film festival in 1968. It was founded by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for Independent filmmakers. About the Speaker
Mr. Liu Xiaolin is the acting Chairman of the Chinese Documentary Media Industry Group and Beijing based WD Pictures. He is also the President of the China Beijing Documentary Development Association. Mr. Liu conceptualized and created the Huayi Brothers Film and Television Department, where he acted as the company’s producer and distributor. He has also held positions as the executive vice president of Asian Union Culture & Media Investment Ltd., vice president of Poly Huayi Media Group, and president of Huayi Alliance Investment Ltd. More recently, Mr. Liu held positions as the CEO of China Vision, president of the Hong Kong based China Vision Documentary Media Company, and general manager of Shanghai New Culture Media Funds Company. In his career, Mr. Liu has been the driving force behind the development and production of over forty highly acclaimed films, over fifty hit television series, and over ten award-winning documentaries.
