Screen Asia: "Mao's Last Dancer"
VIEW EVENT DETAILSAt the time of its release, the San Francisco Chronicle praised that Mao’s Last Dancer was as "fluent and polished as its subject matter.” The acclaimed biopic follows the inspiring experiences of former Houston Ballet principal dancer Li Cunxin. After five years and numerous awards, the film continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
Li, who now serves as Artistic Director for Queensland Ballet, will join Nancy Wozny (Arts + Culture Texas), Houston Ballet Artistic Director Emeritus Ben Stevenson, and Asia Society Texas Center Board Chairman Charles Foster for a conversation immediately following the screening.
