Maintaining Peace and Stability in the South China Sea
VIEW EVENT DETAILSTickets for this program are no longer available.
Issues surrounding the South China Sea are extensive, with a complicated and storied historic fabric. Many scrutinize China’s position on this issue, yet few are aware of China’s history offsetting disputes and pursuing joint development, as proposed 30 years ago. Dr. Yumin Zhao, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Houston, joins Asia Society to help shed light on China’s perspective and create a platform for dialogue and understanding about this hotly contested issue.
The opinions and views expressed in the program do not necessarily reflect those of Asia Society Texas Center, its staff, sponsors, or partners.
