Join the Houston Korean Education Center and Asia Society Texas Center for our fall culture event, Beauty of Hanbok.
The Hanbok is a form of traditional Korean clothing and has a history dating back to the Three Kingdoms of Korea period. The Hanbok is still worn today, both in traditional form and in modern fashion. Hear a lecture on the origin, history, and types of Hanbok, then enjoy a live fashion show highlighting different styles.
After the show, experience cultural activities such as Hanbok paper folding, Korean traditional instruments, calligraphy, games, snacks, and more.
Education and Outreach programs at Asia Society Texas Center are presented by Wells Fargo. Generous funding also provided by Margie and Joe Blommaert, Cathay Bank Foundation, Chevron, the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation, and H-E-B.
