Docent Tours of 'Eternal Offerings: Chinese Ritual Bronzes'VIEW EVENT DETAILS
Docent-led tours of Asia Society Texas Center's exhibitions allow visitors to experience art on a personal level, learn about art historical periods and styles, and hear stories associated with the artwork. Join us for your last chance to experience our Eternal Offerings: Chinese Ritual Bronzes exhibition with a personalized, guided tour by our experienced docents.
Exploring the ritual significance of ancient Chinese ritual bronzes, this exhibition sheds new light on innovations of form and ornamentation, and the advanced techniques of casting these stunning objects dating from the Shang to the Han Dynasties (1600 BCE – 220 CE). Bronze designs influenced other art forms in China, and later examples in jade, blue and white ceramics, and cloisonné will also be featured.
