In this two-week filmmaking camp, Kids TV producer Dan Gordon leads campers in creating an original documentary that explores how to use the power of film to make a meaningful impact in the world. This camp will bring students on exciting field trips into the Houston community where they will visit cultural landmarks and meet inspiring people from all walks of life.
From storyboarding to camera operation, campers will participate in every aspect of film production. At the end of camp, parents and community members are invited to a screening of the documentary that the students created.
Recommended for students ages 12–14.
Add-on: In our After-School A/V Club, campers will enjoy a snack and watch content related to the camp instruction, 3–5:30 p.m. daily.

Asia Society's Got Talent!
Monday, June 10 – Friday, June 14, 2024・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Get inspired by traditional arts and pop culture of Asia, from Indian classical dance to K-pop! Learn about the history and backgrounds of various Asian performing arts while preparing for your own performance.
Recommended for students ages 6–9.
Rising Artists: The Nature of Symbols
Monday, June 17 – Friday, June 21, 2024・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Dive into calligraphy traditions and learn how nature has influenced this art form across Asia and beyond. Learn different techniques, scripts, and tools to create your own expressive artwork.
Recommended for students ages 9–12.
Manga POP!
Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12, 2024・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Attention, artists and manga fanatics! Create your own comics inspired by the Japanese manga style, with opportunities for Beginner and Advanced students to bring their comics to life on paper and the web.
Recommended for students ages 9–14.
