Asia Society Texas Center Young Professionals to Host Leo Bar Featuring “MasterChef” Season 3 Winner Christine Ha
HOUSTON, January 15, 2014 — Asia Society Texas Center Young Professionals, in collaboration with Houston Green Chamber of Commerce, OKRA (An Organized Kollaboration on Restaurant Affairs) and Zulu Creative, will host a delectable February Leo Bar on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The cultural evening of cuisine, cocktails and creativity will feature special guest Christine Ha, interviewed in a live Q&A by KHOU News anchor Lily Jang. Vietnamese-American Chef Ha grew up in Houston and took the culinary world by storm as the breakout star and winner of Fox TV’s MasterChef Season 3. The home chef turned soon-to-be restaurateur will also collaborate with resident Leo Bar chef Rishi Singh of Boheme Cafe and Wine Bar on a tasting menu inspired by the Lunar New Year. The tasting menu is complimentary for ASTC members and a cash bar will be available.
Chef Ha will be available to take photos with fans, sign autographs and sign her cookbook, Recipes from My Home Kitchen, available for purchase at the event from Brazos Bookstore.
