On December 3, we hosted an event with Kai Strittmatter, author and longtime correspondent for the German newspaper Sueddeutsche and the Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger in China. In a conversation with Uli Sigg, Board Member of Asia Society Switzerland, the two China experts shared their experiences while assessing China's most recent developments. Behind the scenes, Kai talked with us about what it means to be a foreign journalist in China, China's increased fortification process against Western influence and the tight state surveillance.
