Meet the Artist: Angela Lyn
VIEW EVENT DETAILS[INVITATION ONLY] A Journey Through Time and Space
We are excited to invite Members of our VIP Community (Patrons, Passport Members and Corporate Members) to an exclusive half-day trip to the Kunstmuseum Thun, where artist Angela Lyn will guide us through her exhibition titled "Navigating Time and Space”.
"I look forward to giving you a deeper insight into the body of work I will be presenting at Kunstmuseum Thun. Born in a time when east-west fusion was still unusual, the dual influences in my work are marked and, over several decades, have formed their own specific language: a language that essentially examines what connects us rather than what separates us as human beings". – A. Lyn
After the tour, you are invited to join us for a relaxed dinner at Restaurant Beau-Rivage, a short walk from the museum.

Angela Lyn’s (b. 1955, Windsor) cultural diversity is at the core of who she is and what she does. Combining her Eastern and Western heritage into a unique and engaging language as an artist, she strives to explore the universal and encourage viewers to reflect on the complexity of the world we live in. Through careful observation, clear composition and the attentive use of her medium, Lyn’s paintings, sculptures, objects and performances create an inner resonance.
Julia Lechbinska, an art historian and owner of the eponymous Lechbinska Gallery, serves as a cultural bridge for Asian contemporary art in Switzerland. Her curatorial approach emphasizes materials and techniques, with a strong focus on the contemporary reinterpretation of Eastern traditions and their dialogue with Western art. The Lechbinska Gallery also delves into themes of mindfulness and well-being through its featured artworks. Beyond her role as a gallerist, Julia is the co-founder and artistic director of the cultural center O-HA in Zurich, which promotes the appreciation of Asian craftsmanship. She is also the host of the podcast "Collect Yourself" and Gen A alumna and an active member of Asia Society Switzerland. Julia and Angela has been working together since 2022.
