Executive Roundtable on Proactive and Reactive AI Governance in China and the U.S.
VIEW EVENT DETAILSProgram 6 of 8 in our 2025 Seeking Truth Through Facts U.S.-China Program Series
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly developed over the past decade, profoundly impacting society and humanity. As AI continues to advance, its regulation and governance have become crucial topics of discussion. While AI offers significant benefits, it also poses potential dangers that transcend national boundaries. Understanding the global AI ecosystem, particularly the dynamics between major powers such as China and the U.S., is increasingly important, as the development of AI has become a driving force in U.S.-China technological competition.
Join us on Thursday, November 14 to hear from Kendra Schaefer, Director of Tech Policy Research and Partner at Trivium China. Hear analysis of the approaches to AI governance in China and the United States. How do these regulations (or the lack thereof) affect the operation, business, and implementation of AI within and between the two countries? What are the implications for the formation of a global AI governance framework?
This program is a part of our Seeking Truth Through Facts U.S.-China Program Series, which focuses on new strategic frameworks for the bilateral relationship, plurilateral relationships, rebalancing trade, national security, technology, and climate change; as well as the global impact of the political and economic landscape. Check out our series and conference recaps from the last five years here.
